Snowmobile and Dinner under the Milky Way

Waiting for you at the farm are snowmobiles to take us on an evening under the Milky Way. We will hopefully have stars, the moon, and the Northern Lights for company—celestial phenomena that were historically used by the Sámi for orientation. We drive in the woods and on the river, actively searching for animals in the dark such as reindeer, moose, hare, and fox. This Night snowmobile tour with wilderness meal offers a quiet, unique opportunity to experience the Arctic nocturnal environment and its shy inhabitants.

Arctic Dinner Snowmobile Experience and Sámi Culture

The Arctic dinner snowmobile experience is the perfect way to conclude your ride. When we return to the farm (which also hosts animals such as horses, reindeer, and goats), the fire will be burning brightly in the teepee. You will be served a delicious dinner of local specialties, typically featuring fish and wildlife dishes. While sitting around the fire, you have the chance to find out more about the Sámi culture and life in the north, hearing stories from your guide that deepen your connection to this region.

Essential Tour Details and Logistics

The Snowmobile and dinner under the Milky Way tour lasts about 4.5 hours, running from 3:50 pm to 8:20 pm (Dec–Feb) or 5:20 pm to 9:50 pm (Mar). The price is SEK 2,795 p/p (shared snowmobile, min 2 pers). You may purchase an extra supplement of SEK 1,200 p/p for your own snowmobile. Included: transfer from Kiruna C, snowmobile, guide, helmet, warm outdoor clothes, and dinner. Note: Participants share a snowmobile (2 per snowmobile) unless the supplement is paid. After the tour, we take care of your transfer back to Kiruna.
